Occupy Wall Street is leaderless resistance movement with people of many colors, genders and political persuasions. The one thing we all have in common is that We Are The 99% that will no longer tolerate the greed and corruption of the 1%. We are using the revolutionary Arab Spring tactic to achieve our ends and encourage the use of nonviolence to maximize the safety of all participants. Why are people protesting outside Wall Street in the financial district? Is the Occupy Wall Street protest being covered fairly in the media? Is this protest an effective way to get their message out to the Average American?

The participants of the Occupy Wall Street protest against social and economic inequality, high unemployment, greed, corruption and the influence of corporations on government. The protesters' slogan 'We are the 99%' refers to the growing income inequality and wealth distribution in the U.S. between the wealthiest 1% and the rest of the population. Some protesters want, in part, more and better jobs, more equal distribution of income, bank reform, and a reduction of the influence of corporations on politics. I think that the determination and devotion of the protesters creates a highly effective way of getting their message out being as they have been dedicated to stick with the movement for a few months now.
